Jan 13th WOLF MOON
Every year we make our New Year resolution on New Years Eve or New Years Day. Whatever your resolution is this January 2025 please be extra kind to yourself if it´s not going to plan.
January is renowned to be the worst month of the year for our mental wellbeing, it’s also boring, cold and generally a bad month. Especially following December, a month jam-packed with holidays including Christmas, beautiful get togethers with our loved ones and families, overindulging and overspending, so when January arrives so can feelings of sadness and depression, known simply as the “January Blues.” Blue Monday is the name given to the third Monday of January. It’s said to be the most depressing day of the year, so you’re definitely not alone if you’re feeling down, or struggling to keep up that resolution you made. This blue, cold month you really can blame it all on the moon & stars!
We should take extra care of ourselves and others during the month of January and if your body is telling you to eat and sleep, you should do exactly that! Listen to your body and conscious mind, you may just want to lay and do nothing wearing your Primark pjs, that’s fine! Don’t judge, always be kind to yourself.
Yoga Nidra or restorative sleep is an excellent practice during January, come along every Friday at 3pm to one of my classes, see my blog for more information about Yoga Nidra https://www.yogawellbeingcoach.com/blog/ptsdyoganidramyexperience
Meditation, yoga and acceptance is the magical key for this month.
However, there is light my beauties, hang on in there, January’s full Wolf Moon reaches peak illumination early this year, January 13th and this time, the full moon will appear for more than three days (Sunday to Wednesday). The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth to the Sun, so the face of the Moon facing towards the Earth will be entirely illuminated by the Sun’s rays.
This full moon is the perfect time to make your “New Years Resolution”. Look for the Moon to rise from the northeastern horizon around sunset that evening.
Come along and join me this week for moon yoga class. This new moon is a fantastic opportunity to really start the New Year, maybe you could consider Januarys full moon to plant your mystical “New Year’s Eve” resolution.
Remember Don’t judge and always be kind to yourself.
